Today Penny Appeal is worth £20m and provides poverty relief across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, by offering water solutions, supporting orphan care, organising mass feedings and providing emergency food and medical aid.
Since its launch, Penny Appeal has transformed the lives and empowered communities around the world, helping to break the poverty cycle and build brighter futures. Each project is carefully constructed and designed to be accessible and effective. They are a blend of emergency support, short-term relief and longer term sustainable interventions. This approach means the charity can save lives immediately, improve situations quickly and give desperate people the support they need.

“I was truly flattered to be recognised as part of an exhibition to showcase Muslim contribution to Britain. I met some amazing people at the event who I shared with a very unique role model of mine, my beautiful Mum! Who else would I take with me? She has been a true pillar of support throughout my life and the one lady who has always believed in my dreams, no matter how crazy, and believe me, some have been crazy! She is the one person to whom I owe everything!”
